Description: Our Lady of Liberty needs little introduction. The statue was a gift from the French and Americans had to raise the money both to site the statue and to build it. The construction was equivalent to building a major suspension bridge. Yet in the whole of its construction, no-one was hurt or killed - an amazing acievement which has always set the Staute up as a symbol of luck and good fortune.
